Visiting Matt

Brian and I were able to travel down to sunny California to visit Matthew.  I hadn't seen him for a year and Brian hadn't seen him for about 9 months.  It was a good trip.  He is getting ready to graduate in May.  I'm so excited for him to move on with the next phase of his life.

We went to the Reagan Presidential Library.  That was fun.  We toured the  museum, Air Force One, and Marine One.

Of course, I had to have In n Out...

and we stopped at a food cart to get a yummy Mexican fruit salad.

Snow!

We got a lot of snow last week, and I mean a lot!!!  We haven't had this much snow since the 2008 snowstorm that stuck around for 2 weeks.  The kids really enjoyed playing in it.  Truth be told, Brian had more fun than anyone!  We went on several walks to the lake.  Two of them at night, so the moon reflected off the snow.

Mikayla is the only one who didn't want to sled, so she got carried.  If she only knew it is so much easier to sled than have to walk or be carried.  Oh well, there is always next time.

It's Been A While

Well, I finally got my pictures on to my new computer.  I had a crash and lost my hard drive.  I think that's what happened.  Anyway, Matt's friends have me up and running again, but it took me a couple of months to get my pictures downloaded, all because I was intimidated by new things and learning a new way to download.  So, here I am, ready to blog!

We had snow a couple of weeks ago.  It was so pretty, but we didn't get a lot.  Brian and I went for a walk in the snow since they had to cancel church because the roads were icy.

Then we went to Hood River to play in more snow.  It was beautiful.  We stayed in a hotel right on the river and were about to walk along the river path just  before sunset.  The sky was blue and pink.

We also drove around Mount Hood to see even more snow.

Fun at the Lake

The kids enjoyed playing in Lost Lake!  It has been several years since we had been there.  It was a great way to spend a hot summer day!

Sister Time!

We were so happy Hannah could come up for a quick visit!  The kids miss her a lot!
