Youth Night

The kids took part in the annual Youth Night at church.  They acted out the nativity story in full costume.  I'm so thankful God sent His son because we needed a Savior!!!  Merry Christmas everyone!

We hope all of you have a most blessed Thanksgiving!  I am counting my blessings this Thanksgiving.  It is one of my favorite holidays.  I have so much to be thankful for.  It was a real blessing that Matt and Thommy were able to be here for this very special holiday. 

Top Ten Things I'm Thankful For:

My Salvation--I'm so glad salvation is a free gift to all who put their faith and trust in Christ.  I certainly didn't do anything to deserve it.

My Family-- I am blest with a wonderful family.  I couldn't have asked for better.

Creation-- We live in a beautiful world,  God certainly made some amazing places for us to enjoy.

God's Word--I 'm so glad he gave us a book to guide and encourage us along this journey.

God's Grace-- I receive so much more grace than I deserve.

Good Health-- We have again been so blessed by God in the health he has given to my family.

My Home--  I truly is so much more than just a house, it is a safe, comforting place to be.

My Church-- I am so thankful for the guidance and fellowship I find in my church home.

My Country--We have so many wonderful freedoms, this is a wonderful country we live in.

Trials--  The times of testing have been hard, but as I look back it is because of the trials that I am able to appreciate the joys He brings into my life.

Faith has a new hobby.  She really seems to love to color.  Especially with markers.  Second Memo to self--throw away the markers.

Apparently, Faith found a marker under the table that Josiah dropped while he was coloring.  I was sitting at the other end of the table and couldn't see her until I stood up.  She had quite a time while it lasted.  Memo to self--when it gets quiet, always go check.

Spelling

Joshua has been doing a great job in spelling.  This was his neatest job yet!

Breakfast with the Squirrels!

Faith loves to watch the squirrels while she has her breakfast.  Sometimes the peacocks show up, too.

Surprise!!!

Thommy surprised Hannah on their one year anniversary.  He flew up from southern California and Brian picked him up from the airport.  Needless to say, Hannah was very surprised.

Later that night he took her out to dinner and popped the question.  She said yes, and we are all so excited!!!

I am absolutely thrilled with my new kitchen!!!  It isn't completely done yet, but it still looks amazing!

Hannah's New Car

Hannah finally bought her first car.  It seems like a great little car.  Congratulations, Hannah!

Joshua's Favorite

After over 100 days of no rain, we finally had a downpour.  We celebrated with a warm, filling, Chicken Chorizo Soup.  This is one of Joshua's favorite dinners.  It was a great fall night with a yummy dinner.

At It Again

Literally and figuratively, people love climbing the walls around here. We are truly one big, busy family and I wouldn't change a thing.  God has been so good to us!

Play Time!

Faith is a busy little girl.  She loves playing, crawling after her brothers, listening to music, eating and playing some more.  She is one special girl.

All Dressed Up

This was our last family picture for awhile.  So far Matt is enjoying his new life.  And  Sarah is enjoying his room!

Farmer's Market

One of the last things Matt wanted to do was go to the Farmer's Market.  This was Faith's first trip.  We came home with a half a flat of berries and a box of peaches. Yum!

Together Again

For one short weekend we are all together again.  We went to the Rose Garden for my picture.  The kids are used to me and my wanting an updated picture.  Josiah loved all the open spaces, but Josiah seems to have fun wherever he goes.  He's just one big bundle of fun!

Our Neighbor

Our neighborhood peacock decided to stop by and visit.  Once Josiah sees him, he usually decides it time to go.

The Salamander

Brian found a salamander in our backyard. The boys had fun watching him.  The salamander had the last laugh though.  He escaped while the boys were sleeping.

August Family Dinner

The kids had fun in Grandpa's backyard during family dinner.  It was so hot the boys ran through the sprinkler.  It was the first time all summer they used the sprinkler.

Bedtime!

The boys love listening to audio books at bedtime.  Here they are getting ready to listen to The Robber's Cave.  Okay, it ended up being a little to intense, but  they ended up relistening to it the next day and loved it.  It is a great story!

Krispy Kreme Night!

One of the things the boys wanted to do this summer was to get Krispy Kreme doughnuts.Yum!

Cabela's

The kids were looking forward to their shopping trip at Cabela's.  They had fun looking at the animals.  Faith loved the standing polar bear.

For dinner we had pizza at Papa Pete's Pizza.

It was really good pizza!!!
